GENERAL ENTRY POLICY

By purchasing or receiving a ticket, registering, receiving accreditation, entering the venue, or participating in any activity connected to Cypher Town x Silverback Europe 2026 – July 30 – August 2, 2026 –, every attendee, competitor, guest, crew member, vendor, volunteer, parent, guardian and accompanying person agrees to this policy.

1. Entry and Acceptance

Entry to the event is conditional upon acceptance of this policy, the venue’s regulations, security requirements and all reasonable instructions given by the organizers, venue staff, security personnel, judges and authorized event representatives.

The organizers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person whose conduct creates a safety risk, disrupts the event, damages the reputation of the event, violates this policy or affects the experience of other attendees.

Removal from the event may take place without a ticket refund where permitted by applicable law.

2. Personal Responsibility

Every attendee is responsible for their own actions, conduct, decisions, physical condition and personal safety during the event.

Attendees must behave responsibly and must not endanger themselves, other attendees, competitors, staff members, artists, judges, partners, sponsors or members of the public.

Participation in dance battles, cyphers, workshops, showcases, training sessions and other physical activities is voluntary and takes place at the participant’s own risk.

Participants are responsible for deciding whether they are physically and medically fit to take part. Anyone who is injured, unwell, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or otherwise unable to participate safely must not take part in physical activities.

3. Injuries, Accidents and Assumption of Risk

Attendees understand that breaking, dancing, cyphers, battles, workshops and crowded live events involve inherent risks. These risks may include falls, collisions, physical contact, muscle injuries, joint injuries, property damage and other accidents.

By participating, attendees knowingly accept the normal and reasonably foreseeable risks connected with these activities.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, attendees participate at their own risk and agree that the organizers, event partners, sponsors, venue operators, employees, contractors, judges, artists and volunteers will not be responsible for injuries, accidents, losses or damages resulting from:

  • the attendee’s own actions or negligence;
  • another attendee’s actions;
  • participation in physical activities;
  • failure to follow safety instructions;
  • an attendee’s medical or physical condition;
  • circumstances outside the reasonable control of the organizers.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Any accident, injury, dangerous condition or emergency must be reported immediately to event staff or venue security.

4. Damage to Property

Every attendee is financially responsible for any damage they intentionally or negligently cause to:

  • the venue;
  • dance floors and competition areas;
  • technical equipment;
  • furniture;
  • decorations;
  • production equipment;
  • rented property;
  • event materials;
  • another person’s belongings;
  • sponsor, vendor or partner property.

The responsible person may be required to cover the full cost of repair, replacement, cleaning, recovery and any other reasonable expenses resulting from the damage.

Serious or intentional damage may also be reported to venue security or the relevant authorities.

5. Photography, Filming and Audio Recording

Cypher Town x Silverback Europe 2026 will be photographed, filmed, livestreamed and otherwise recorded.

Official photographers, videographers, production teams, media partners and authorized representatives may record the event, including the audience, competitors, cyphers, battles, workshops, performances, backstage areas, interviews, award ceremonies and general atmosphere.

By entering the event, attendees acknowledge and accept that their image, likeness, voice, performance or participation may appear in photographs, videos, livestreams, interviews and audio recordings.

These materials may be used by the organizers and their authorized partners for purposes including:

  • event documentation;
  • livestreaming and broadcasting;
  • event recaps and highlight videos;
  • websites and social media;
  • press and media coverage;
  • advertising and promotional campaigns;
  • sponsor and partner communications;
  • future Cypher Town and Silverback Europe event promotion;
  • historical and archival purposes.

Where permitted by applicable law, these materials may be edited, reproduced, published and distributed in different formats and through different media channels without additional payment or compensation to the attendee.

Attendance does not guarantee that an attendee will appear in published content.

Anyone with a specific concern regarding photography or filming should contact the organizers before the event. The organizers will consider reasonable requests but cannot guarantee that a person will not appear in general crowd footage, background recordings or livestreamed content.

A separate privacy notice may provide additional information regarding the processing of personal data, recording purposes, legal bases, retention periods, recipients and data-protection rights.

6. Personal Photography and Recording

Personal photography and short personal video recordings may be permitted, provided they do not:

  • interfere with the event;
  • obstruct the audience or competition area;
  • violate another person’s privacy;
  • enter restricted areas;
  • use prohibited professional equipment;
  • record private or sensitive situations;
  • commercially exploit the event without written permission.

Professional photography, professional videography, commercial filming, press activity and livestreaming require prior written authorization from the organizers.

The organizers may restrict photography or recording in specific areas or during specific parts of the event.

7. Respectful Conduct

Cypher Town x Silverback Europe is committed to maintaining a competitive but respectful environment.

Harassment, intimidation, bullying, discrimination, threats, violence, unwanted physical contact, hate speech, sexual harassment and deliberately humiliating conduct will not be tolerated.

Competitive energy, battle expression and artistic performance do not justify conduct that creates a genuine safety risk or targets another person in an abusive, discriminatory or threatening manner.

Attendees must respect:

  • competitors;
  • judges;
  • DJs;
  • MCs;
  • artists;
  • organizers;
  • staff members;
  • volunteers;
  • vendors;
  • sponsors;
  • venue personnel;
  • other guests.

The organizers may issue a warning, disqualify a competitor, remove an attendee or contact the authorities depending on the seriousness of the conduct.

8. Safety and Security

Attendees must follow all security checks, venue rules, emergency procedures and staff instructions.

Prohibited items may include weapons, dangerous objects, explosives, illegal substances, glass containers, unauthorized alcohol, professional recording equipment and any item considered dangerous or disruptive by security personnel.

The organizers and venue security may inspect bags and personal belongings where permitted by law and venue policy.

Emergency exits, access routes, competition areas, technical zones and staff-only areas must remain clear at all times.

Attendees may not enter backstage, production, judging, staff, technical or restricted areas without authorization.

9. Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking

Illegal drugs and dangerous substances are strictly prohibited.

Anyone who appears heavily intoxicated, aggressive, impaired or unable to behave safely may be refused entry or removed from the event.

Alcohol may only be purchased, possessed and consumed in accordance with applicable law and venue rules.

Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas, where available.

10. Personal Belongings

Attendees are responsible for their own money, phones, clothing, bags, documents, equipment and other personal belongings.

The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, forgotten or damaged personal property except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

Valuable items should not be left unattended.

Any lost property handed to the organizers or venue may be stored temporarily and disposed of or donated if it is not collected within the announced period.

11. Competitors and Participants

Competitors must follow the competition format, registration requirements, age-category rules, scheduling instructions and decisions of the organizers and judges.

Judging decisions are final unless the organizers announce a formal review or appeal process.

Competitors are responsible for arriving on time, checking in correctly and remaining available for their announced rounds.

Missing registration, check-in, call times, battles or scheduled activities may result in disqualification without refund.

Any attempt to cheat, manipulate results, threaten judges or interfere with the competition may result in immediate disqualification and removal.

12. Minors

Attendees under the age required by applicable law or venue policy may need permission or supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

Parents and guardians are responsible for the conduct, supervision, safety and participation of minors under their care.

By allowing a minor to attend or participate, the parent or guardian confirms that they have reviewed and accepted this policy on the minor’s behalf to the extent permitted by law.

Additional parental or guardian consent may be required for competition registration, workshops, travel, photography, filming or medical assistance.

13. Medical Assistance

Attendees authorize event staff to contact emergency services when staff reasonably believe that urgent medical assistance is necessary.

The attendee remains responsible for informing medical personnel about relevant medical conditions, allergies, medication or other health information.

The organizers do not guarantee the availability of specific medical treatment or medical professionals beyond what is required by applicable law and the operational arrangements of the event.

14. Schedule and Event Changes

The organizers may change the schedule, program, venue layout, judges, artists, DJs, hosts, competition format, capacity, access rules or operating times where reasonably necessary.

Changes may be made because of safety concerns, technical problems, artist availability, venue requirements, force majeure, government measures or circumstances outside the organizers’ reasonable control.

The organizers will communicate significant changes through available official channels whenever reasonably possible.

15. Force Majeure

The organizers are not responsible for delays, changes, interruptions or cancellation caused by circumstances outside their reasonable control.

These circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic, government restrictions, public disorder, transportation disruption, power failure, technical failure, labor disputes, terrorism, war or threats to public safety.

Ticket refunds, transfers or credits in such situations will be handled according to the applicable ticketing terms and mandatory consumer-protection laws. Tickets are non-refundable.

16. Commercial Activity and Branding

Unauthorized selling, promotion, sampling, advertising, fundraising, recruitment, distribution of flyers or display of commercial branding is prohibited.

Vendors, sponsors, media representatives and commercial partners must receive prior written approval from the organizers.

The Cypher Town, Silverback Europe and event names, logos, visual identity, recordings and official materials may not be used for commercial purposes without written permission.

17. Violations and Removal

The organizers may take appropriate action against anyone who violates this policy, venue rules or applicable law.

Actions may include:

  • a verbal warning;
  • confiscation of prohibited items where legally permitted;
  • removal from a specific activity;
  • competition disqualification;
  • removal from the venue;
  • refusal of future entry;
  • reporting the matter to security or public authorities;
  • seeking compensation for damage or loss.

The level of action will depend on the seriousness of the violation and the surrounding circumstances.

18. Final Acceptance

By purchasing a ticket, registering, accepting accreditation, entering the venue or participating in the event, the attendee confirms that they:

  • have read and understood this policy;
  • agree to follow the policy and venue rules;
  • accept personal responsibility for their conduct;
  • understand that the event will be photographed, filmed and recorded;
  • accept the inherent risks associated with participation;
  • agree to cover damage caused by their intentional or negligent actions;
  • understand that violations may result in removal or disqualification.
